I love meeting new bloggers. I had the pleasure of meeting the brains (and beauty!) behind A Fine Line Blog, Sarah Stone, earlier this year over some morning coffee at Rocketcat Cafe. A few days ago, we met up again to take a few fabulous photos of her in my favorite hipster neighborhood of Northern Liberties in Philadelphia. Hope you all enjoy the photos, check out Sarah’s awesome blog, and keep enjoying the beautiful spring!
So I made a new friend here in Philadelphia, and he likes to go by @EricSmithRocks! Social Media Manager for a small publishing company in Old City called Quirk Books and co-founder of the oh-so-awesome Geekadelphia, Eric is a fellow creative and Philly go-getter! We met for the first time to have a casual happy hour at King’s Oak (their sweet potato fries are to die for!!), followed by some browsing at vintage store Jinx, and ending with a mini-photoshoot in the Piazza. Overall, it’s been great connecting with Eric and I hope to learn A LOT from his Jedi ways.
This is a little late since it officially went live at 9am today, but say hello to Femme & Fortune! It’s been months in the making, but Femme & Fortune is a new (kickass) online magazine for creative and modern women! With a focus on beauty, fashion, technology, home, design, and Philadelphia, Femme & Fortune was founded by myself and Ces of Java Aficionado and is our new endeavor deeper into the editorial and blogging world. This site will cover topics using fresh and unique content, beautiful photography and visual designs, and the best part is that it’s written by women for women. If you’re passionate about any subject and want to contribute, contact us here!
We’llbe hosting a fun launch party later this month, so stay tuned for more updates from Ces and I on Femme & Fortune.
I got together with a few bloggers for a little breakfast yesterday morning at Sabrina’s Cafe in Fairmount. We had a lovely discussion, ate some bomb food and got to do a little photoshoot per my suggestion, of course. I can’t miss an opportunity for some new photos! Take a look below at Brittiny, Elisa, Zoha and Mecca doing their thang.
Not that I attended before, BUT I just got a ticket to this burgerlicious event (thanks Alya!) The Third Annual Philadelphia Burger Brawl will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2013, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Fleisher Art Memorial, located on 719 Catherine Street in South Philadelphia. Twenty-four of the city’s top burger chefs compete to see which burger is the best and over 700 attendees are expected. Marc Summers will emcee the event in 2013. Here’s the lineup:
