What Are Your Summer Goals?

Summer is lurking and I find myself thinking about a few goals of mine that I really need to get to speed on. One, world domination.

Just kidding, but I’d love to know what some of your summer goals are! I’ll be doing a longer post to really define mine, but they basically include reading more books, getting in shape, creating a successful side business, getting an intern for Femme & Fortune, and a few more! Stay tuned for those, but I’m all ears for yours now!

Why Must You Be So Delicious Han Dynasty?

Growing up, my parents had a few very close friends. One of them (the lovely Sree Aunty) came to visit this past weekend and to celebrate, I took everyone out to some delicious Han Dynasty in Old City. Known for the authentic Szechuan cooking and spicy food, my parents and Sree Aunty loved it. They were astounded at how different and yummy the food was compared to “that other Chinese food.” We got a bunch of dished included the popular Dan Dan noodles, Beef and Tripe in Chili Oil, Cumin Lamb, Garlic Sauce Chicken and Dry Pepper Style Fish (aka Flounder). My mouth is actually salivating right now. Anyway, the food is beyond delicious and I recommend it to everyone willing to try out some spicy and flavorful nomnoms. Season of the BBQ

I enjoyed a fun little get-together on Saturday with the PSN crew at the beautiful Cooper house. I’m so excited that it’s the season of BBQs. I anticipate a lot of grilling, cold beer, bug spray, and exciting conversation for this summer. Take a look below as I got all paparazzi during the BBQ. I love meeting new bloggers. I had the pleasure of meeting the brains (and beauty!) behind A Fine Line Blog, Sarah Stone, earlier this year over some morning coffee at Rocketcat Cafe. So I made a new friend here in Philadelphia, and he likes to go by @EricSmithRocks! Social Media Manager for a small publishing company in Old City called Quirk Books and co-founder of the oh-so-awesome Geekadelphia, Eric is a fellow creative and Philly go-getter! We met for the first time to have a casual happy hour at King’s Oak (their sweet potato fries are to die for!!), followed by some browsing at vintage store Jinx, and ending with a mini-photoshoot in the Piazza. Overall, it’s been great connecting with Eric and I hope to learn A LOT from his Jedi ways.

This is a little late since it officially went live at 9am today, but say hello to Femme & Fortune! It’s been months in the making, but Femme & Fortune is a new (kickass) online magazine for creative and modern women! With a focus on beauty, fashion, technology, home, design, and Philadelphia, Femme & Fortune was founded by myself and Ces of Java Aficionado and is our new endeavor deeper into the editorial and blogging world. This site will cover topics using fresh and unique content, beautiful photography and visual designs, and the best part is that it’s written by women for women. If you’re passionate about any subject and want to contribute, contact us here!

Let’s Brunch
