I got together with a few bloggers for a little breakfast yesterday morning at Sabrina’s Cafe in Fairmount. We had a lovely discussion, ate some bomb food and got to do a little photoshoot per my suggestion, of course. I can’t miss an opportunity for some new photos! Take a look below at Brittiny, Elisa, Zoha and Mecca doing their thang.
Not that I attended before, BUT I just got a ticket to this burgerlicious event (thanks Alya!) The Third Annual Philadelphia Burger Brawl will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2013, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Fleisher Art Memorial, located on 719 Catherine Street in South Philadelphia. Twenty-four of the city’s top burger chefs compete to see which burger is the best and over 700 attendees are expected. Marc Summers will emcee the event in 2013. Here’s the lineup:
I got a new dress (one of many as I try to reassess my whole wardrobe, so THANK YOU FASHION BLOGS!), and I thought I’d show it off to all you lovely readers. These were taken by the bee-eff today in South Philly as I met with a client. We ended up going to a comedy club right after for their open mic night, and let’s just say my bucket list wish of doing stand up may come faster than I thought. I think I want to start practicing some scripted comedy in front of friends this year, and eventually do an amateur night at a comedy club like tonight. Wish me luck folks!
I just came back from a weekend in DC to celebrate my bestie’s quarter-life/golden birthday celebration. Had a great time as usual as we ate Thai food and kabobs, awkwardly stood at a bar, went G.I. Jane looking for Michelle’s phone only to find out it was in our car the whole time, and so much more. I can’t wait to take more trips down to DC to see Michelle this year. Here are some photos from our fab weekend (Michelle and Courtney loved being my models for the below photoshoot heehee).
I attended last week’s Philly Tech Week event with my boyfriend Joshua titled A/S/L: Love & Tech featuring co-founder of Geekadelphia Eric Smith, author and Shmitten Kitten blogger Anna Goldfarb, and online dating expert Erika Ettin at the Philly.com office on 8th & Market. The event was casual and entertaining – got to munch on yummy food from Melting Pot, champagne was flowin’ and stories of horror/success stories from online dating were being shared. As a reformed Ok Cupid-er, it was pretty fun listening to the speakers (and even a few people from the audience) openly talk about their personal experiences on their pursuit of virtual love. I should have had enough guts to go up at the end of the event to tell my own horror stories, but maybe next year. Take a look at photos from the event below!
