3 Chrome Extensions You Need!

I wrote this recent post titled “3 Chrome Extensions to Increase Your Browsing Experience” for social media blog, Bad Rhino. Read below for tips on three Chrome extensions you need to download to make your work faster and more efficient! Enjoy!

For those of you not reading this article on Google Chrome right now, please pause your normal routine and download this browser ASAP! Known for its high speed performance, extremely intuitive and efficient browsing and its easy-to-use approach, Google Chrome is a win when it comes to your internet experience. However, to increase your time searching and working on the world wide web, there are a ton of options to ‘pimp-out’ your Chrome via their very-handy Web Store. Read below for three of my favorite extensions to add to your Chrome Browser and why!

1.     G New Doc

G New Doc

It’s no surprise that using Google Docs and Google Drive to organize your work and collaborate with others has become a huge trend in the past few years. One of my favorite extensions to add to my Chrome toolbar is “G New Doc.” It creates a large “G” button on the top right corner of your toolbar, and upon clicking you have the ability to create any new Google document that you may need! This is awesome because it saves you the time from going into your Gmail or Google Drive each time you need to access a document or create a new spreadsheet.

Pinterest For Business

I love infographics, so I thought that this was a pretty simple to understand example for those of you trying to utilize Pinterest for your businesses. What do you all think? See any value in the visual pinning site for your company or brand?

Oh, You Fancy! – My review on TheFancy.com

I just wrote a review on TheFancy.com yesterday (on the awesome social media marketing blog I contribute to monthly called Bad Rhino Rumblings), and I highly recommend you all:

A) Read my review, thanks!

and

B) Check out The Fancy itself! The site is a cool spin-off of Pinterest, but allows you to buy straight from the site. The funky items and products you’ll find will never give you an excuse to give lame presents to friends and family from now on.

I mean where else could you find the following items:

Hand want pencils.

Speaking of random hands in pop culture, hello Wednesday Addams.

What happened? Oh right, a shark bite. My bad.

Let me know what you think of the site after you take it for a spin! :)

How do you use social media?

Check out this 30 second interview from Fast Company (if you haven’t heard of this site, then add it to your list of daily reads asap!) with email application Tout Founder & CEO, Tawheed Kader on how his company uses social media. He also happens to by my friend Shahed’s older brother! Love seeing fellow Bengalis be successful in their endeavors. Keep it up both of you!

Click on the image below to watch the video! I would have embed it into this post, but my version WordPress is pretty restricting. ><

Looking to get hired?

Check out Tischen.com! An extremely easy application that I just so happened to stumble upon through Twitter today. Connected via Facebook, one click on their homepage and you’ll have a new home base for future job opportunities! Easily navigate for job titles and locations at the top to even find available services through other connected Tischen-ers. I give this website a 7 out of 10 on my Social Media scale-o-meter because of its easy to use navigation and mission to create jobs for the unemployed. Founder Saman Rahmanian (@saman325) claims to have started Tischen because there were no available websites to search for freelancers or contractors, nor see their availability. Tischen allows users to see locations and vicinities of employees, as well as utilize a calendar to view their available times! Tischen incorporates practical and easy functions into one website, allowing anyone from a plumber to a lawyer to effectively help create their own brand or image for hire. My only hesitation to rate this website higher my fear that not a lot of enough people know about this catchy website, causing the hopeful to maybe become hopeless. I’ll be creating my own homepage on Tischen, so let’s see if it works!

Some cool features I’ve just found:
-Tischen’s in-house promotion tools! Not only can you create links to all your social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Craigslist, Linkedin, etc.) but you can create flyers, business cards and more using Tischen’s own template linked to your profile. This is a huge plus for lots of professionals with no creative background. Great idea Tischen! **Update** Check out my new widget for hiring no the right side of this page!
-Did I mention the navigational tools for editing on this site are simply amazing!? All in all, I think I’m in love!

I pressed one button and voila, my very own Tischen page had been created using information from my Facebook! Neato!
